American Tissue Reuse Committee
The American Tissue Reuse Committee is an eight member committee made up of Augusta residents whom were appointed by Mayor Roger Katz in the Spring of 2007. Their mandate is to provide the Mayor and the City Council with a recommendation on how to proceed with the potential reuse of the American Tissue Mill site, which is currently in a serious state of disrepair. This will be accomplished through the Committee’s efforts in performing due diligence on the site, engaging professionals and outside expertise, interviewing potential developers and interacting with the public to get their ideas and thoughts on how this property should ultimately function as part of the community.
This webpage will act as a portal whereby Committee meeting agendas, calendars, minutes and a multitude of documents and other materials pertaining to this effort will be posted. In addition, studies and other reports will also be posted on this site so as to provide the public with as much information on the property that is available.
To reach the Committee, please contact their City staff person Michael A. Duguay at 626-2336 and he will assist you.
